Wholly you! 🫵

Here are the 1-2-3’s of ending 2024 gracefully.

December has a way of turning our minds into a cluttered attic — holiday to-do lists, year-end work tasks, and the pressure to make New Year’s resolutions. Instead of letting your brain overheat, try these:

  1. Reflect on one thing you’ve learned or accomplished this year. Celebrate yourself!

  2. Name one thing each morning that you’re thankful for. There is science in gratitude.

  3. Set some holiday boundaries and say no. Give yourself permission to not overcommit.

Document each of these simple actions in a journal for ordinary moments from Ordinary Habit. This will help you to reframe the chaos and end the year with a sense of clarity and calm.

The holidays are synonymous with indulgence—and guess what? That’s okay! A slice of pie or an extra glass of eggnog won’t derail your wellness journey. The key is balance: embrace the treats, but also carve out time to move your body and recharge. Try these:

  1. Prioritize sleep. Set a regular bedtime, aim for 7–9 hours of sleep, and create a calming pre-sleep routine. Try the neuroscience-backed music from Sona.

  2. Stay hydrated. Hydration supports digestion, energy levels, and even mental clarity. Carry a reusable water bottle from Clearly Filtered, and aim for at least 8 cups of water daily (or more if you’re active). If plain water is boring, infuse it with slices of citrus or fresh herbs like mint.

  3. Keep moving in small bursts. Take a brisk walk for just 10 minutes each day to keep your energy flowing and work off some of those extra calories. Give those feet the support they deserve with The Classic Insole from Fulton.

These may just make you feel so good that you will carry this exercise forward into everyday life in 2025!

While we encourage you to reflect on 2024, we want to call out how easy it is to focus on what went wrong. It’s paramount that we flip the script. Intention is a powerful way to nurture your soul and find joy in the unfolding of what is to come.

In fact, we are going to help you step into 2025 with clarity and purpose! Join Amy Wong for an inspiring workshop to transform resistance into growth and discomfort into creativity. December is a whirlwind of spending, but that doesn’t mean you have to end the year by overspending. Try these:

  1. Focus on meaningful gifts, not expensive ones. Experiences and thoughtful gestures often bring more happiness to both the giver and receiver than pricey items. Maavee has created seven Holiday Gift Guides to make this year’s shopping a breeze, including one for gifts under $30!

  2. We are smack in the middle of a holiday sale where you can earn 25% cash back on everything in the Maavee app through Giving Tuesday. Hurry!

  3. Use your remaining HSA/FSA dollars to buy holiday gifts. Maavee has over 70 items (we mean gifts) that you probably never even knew were eligible. Simply use your HSA/FSA credit card at check out. No more New Year’s Eve runs to CVS to buy Q-tips! 🤣

We understand that not everyone celebrates Christmas or decorates a tree. Well, we have just the thing. If you do not have a Douglass Fir in your home, how about if you plant one in the country of your choice?

We’ve decided to help reforest the world and we want to do it with you. Here’s how:

  1. Place any order any time — we’ll plant a tree

  2. Buy a tree yourself — we’ll plant it and send you a certificate

  3. Watch the Maavee Forests grow around the world right from the Maavee app

Let’s plant trees and grow our future…together!

Work at the end of the year can feel like a mix of tying up loose ends and staring at an endless pile of unfinished tasks. Here’s a secret: you don’t have to finish everything to have a happy ending at work. Instead, focus on closing the loop on a few key priorities and leave space to dream about what’s next. Try these:

  1. Focus on high-priority tasks and delegate the rest. Sounds easy, but we tend to focus on the things that are easiest rather than those that are most important. Check out Getting Things Done by David Allen on The Bookshelf by Maavee.

  2. Take short breaks to recharge. Use the Pomodoro Technique — work for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break. Step away from your desk, stretch, or take a quick walk to reset your mind.

  3. Coming full circle back to setting boundaries. Communicate your availability to colleagues and clients. Block off time in your calendar for personal commitments and stick to it. Don’t feel guilty about logging off!
